ABOUT EDUARDO

Growing up in the Dominican Republic, west of Santo Domingo in the town of Azua, Eduardo Nuñez always dreamed of making it to the big leagues.

This dream became reality in 2004 when Nuñez was signed by the New York Yankees as an International Free Agent, working through the team’s minor league system before making his MLB debut in 2010. Since then, Nuñez has played for the Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants, and most recently the Boston Red Sox where he led the team to a World Series victory.

Eduardo Nuñez has translated his success on the field, off the field with his community service initiative, The Nuñez Project. The project’s efforts go beyond baseball to provide underserved youth with opportunities to play and grow within their communities.
